ماذا بعد أودو؟ — The Living System
What happens after go-live, which is where an ERP is actually won or lost.
The idea
A system is not delivered, it is operated
Support and tickets, service levels, security, upgrades, change management, technical debt, backup and — the part almost nobody does — restore testing. Disaster recovery, training, adoption, performance, system health, and what it takes to keep all of it going for years.
Why it exists
The literature concentrates on implementation because implementation is what is sold. The operating life afterwards is longer, harder, less glamorous, and the reason most ERP investments quietly stop returning anything.
A system that nobody upgrades, nobody trains new joiners on, and whose backups have never been restored is not live. It is decaying in place.
What is in it
Written for the years after the launch party, and organised around the failures that arrive in order.
Who it is for
IT managers, Odoo administrators, support teams, partners, system owners, and organisations already live and wondering why it is getting harder rather than easier.
Status
A completed professional work, developed with expert and technical review. Not offered for sale here.
It is the sequel to delivering the implementation, and the argument behind both is set out under governance and delivery.
